Gated Communities on the Treasure Coast: The Complete 2026 Guide
Quick answer: The Treasure Coast, meaning St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River counties, has more than two dozen gated communities, from affordable 55+ neighborhoods in St. Lucie West to oceanfront club communities like Sailfish Point in Stuart and John's Island in Vero Beach. This page lists every major one by area with a one-line summary, and each name links to a full guide with prices, fees, club rules and who it suits.
People usually come to this page with one of three questions. Which gated communities are near me. Which ones can I afford. And which ones have the thing I actually care about, whether that's a boat slip, a golf course, a beach, or just a gate and a low monthly bill. The lists below answer the first one. The individual guides answer the other two.
I'm William Merchant, a REALTOR with RE/MAX Gold here on the Treasure Coast. I show homes in these communities all the time, and I've written a detailed guide on each one. Click any name for the full picture. If you want to see one in person, call or text me at (772) 800-2274.

How to narrow it down
If golf is the point, start with the golf communities guide, which lines the club communities up side by side on initiation, dues and what you get. If you're 55 or over and want a community built for that, the 55+ communities guide covers Riverland, Vitalia, Kings Isle and the rest. If you're deciding between the two big towns, Port St. Lucie vs. Stuart is the honest comparison.
And if you want a gate without a club, the short list is Lake Charles, Veranda Gardens and Kings Isle in Port St. Lucie, the Arbors in Hobe Sound, and the Florida Club and Summerfield in Stuart, where the golf is there if you want it and optional if you don't.
