Marlins Spring Training 2027 in Jupiter: Roger Dean Schedule, Tickets and Living Nearby

Quick answer: The Miami Marlins are scheduled to start their 2027 spring games on Friday, February 19 against the St. Louis Cardinals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, and to play 15 of their 30 spring games there as the home team, ending with the Mets on Sunday, March 21. As of October 25, 2026, the stadium's pages said single-game 2027 spring tickets go on sale January 9, parking is $15 in the Abacoa Parking Garage, the ballpark is cashless, and bags can be up to 16 by 16 by 8 inches, but any backpack must be clear. The 2027 game times and first workout dates had not been announced. CBS Sports reported on October 8, 2026 that baseball's labor agreement expires December 1, 2026 and that owners are expected to lock out the players without a new deal. A lockout could move these dates, as one did in 2022.

The Miami Marlins have held spring training at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter since 2003, and they share the complex with the St. Louis Cardinals, who have trained there since 1998, according to MLB.com. If you are coming down for a few games, or thinking about living close enough to go whenever you want, this guide puts the 2027 schedule, the ticket dates and the ballpark rules in one place, with the source for each.

I'm William Merchant, a REALTOR with RE/MAX Gold. I'm based in Port St. Lucie and also cover Palm Beach County. Everything below comes from the Marlins, Major League Baseball, the stadium, Palm Beach County and other official sources unless I say otherwise, and I flag what has not been announced yet.

When is Marlins spring training in 2027?

Major League Baseball announced on September 4, 2026 that 2027 spring training games begin Friday, February 19 for all 30 clubs. I did not find a separate Marlins announcement with 2027 spring details, so the dates below come from MLB's own schedule data as viewed October 25, 2026, and they match the stadium's schedule page. That data shows the Marlins playing 30 spring games, 15 of them at home at Roger Dean.

By my count from the same data, the Marlins face the Cardinals and Mets seven times each, the Nationals and Astros six times each, and the Yankees and Tigers twice each. The opener is Friday, February 19 against the Cardinals in Jupiter, on a day when another Marlins squad also plays the Mets in Port St. Lucie. The last home game, and the last spring game, is Sunday, March 21 against the Mets.

The Marlins then open the regular season at home on Thursday, March 25 against the Mets at loanDepot park; the team's July 16, 2026 release says Opening Day 2027 "will mark Miami's fifth-consecutive season beginning at home," and the Phillies follow there from March 29 to 31. Game times for spring had not been announced as of October 25, 2026, and neither had first workout dates. For reference, MLB.com's February 3, 2026 Marlins spring FAQ gave February 11 as the first workout for pitchers and catchers and February 16 as the first full-squad workout.

Because the two teams share the ballpark, there is baseball at Roger Dean almost every day. The Marlins are also scheduled to play three games there as the visiting team against the Cardinals (March 8, 12 and 20), and the Cardinals have 15 home games of their own. By my count from MLB's schedule data, Roger Dean is scheduled to host a game on 30 of the 31 days from February 19 to March 21; the only open date is Monday, March 15.

Could a lockout change the dates?

Possibly. The agreement between the owners and the players expires at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 1, 2026, and CBS Sports reported on October 8, 2026 that owners are expected to lock out the players if there is no new deal by then. The last lockout ended March 10, 2022, and that spring the games were rescheduled to start about March 17 and Opening Day moved to April 7, according to a CBS Sports report dated March 30, 2022. If you are planning a trip around specific games, I would keep plans flexible until a deal is announced.

When do tickets go on sale, and what do they cost?

The stadium's single-game ticket page, as viewed October 25, 2026, says: "Single game Spring Training 2027 tickets will go on sale on January 9th." That is a Saturday; the page does not give a time. Season tickets, which the stadium says "start at $465" and "include 15 home games for your choice of either the Cardinals or Marlins," were on sale as of October 25, 2026; the season ticket page, which gives no year, says new season tickets and mini plans could be bought starting Tuesday, October 20.

I did not find an official price list by seat type. Discover The Palm Beaches, the county's tourism bureau, said on its spring training page (last updated July 22, 2026, describing the 2026 season) that "Prices range between $25 and $77." Treat that as a guide, not the 2027 price.

Tickets are sold online and delivered to your phone through the MLB Ballpark app or the stadium's My RDCS Tickets portal, per the stadium's A to Z guide. The ticket office number is 561-630-1828, but as of October 25, 2026, the stadium's tickets page said the office was closed and available by appointment only, and it said to call the front office at 561-775-1818 to schedule one. Children 2 and under can enter without a ticket if they share a seat with an adult. Seating includes reserved box, bleacher, Bullpen Club and suites, with standing room offered game by game, and MLB.com reported on February 24, 2026 that the renovation added the Jupiter Medical Center Champions Club and the Hot Corner Bar where the third-base bleachers used to be.

Can you watch the workouts for free?

The stadium's A to Z guide says the Marlins' and Cardinals' "pre-season backfield workouts will be open to the public." The most recent official word on cost I found is MLB.com's 2024 Marlins spring FAQ, which said "Admittance is free." The Marlins' undated spring information guide says the complex has 12 practice fields, six for each team, numbers the Marlins' fields 2 through 7 and says workout times are set by the teams and can change without notice. The same guide says "Fans can obtain autographs before and after games and workouts."

Know before you go: parking, bags, cash and shade

These rules are from the stadium's parking page and A to Z guide as viewed October 25, 2026. They can change before February, so check again before your first game.

  • Parking: $15 for spring games in the Abacoa Parking Garage on Parkside Drive, with overflow lots off Town Center Drive and Chancellor Drive. No overnight parking.
  • Cashless: the stadium takes American Express, Mastercard, Discover, Visa, Visa gift cards and Apple Pay.
  • Bags: up to 16 by 16 by 8 inches; any backpack must be clear.
  • Gates: open an hour and a half before game time for spring training.
  • Food and drink: no outside food or drinks, bottles, cans or coolers.
  • Umbrellas: allowed, but they may not be opened in the seating area.
  • Re-entry: none, unless a manager on duty approves it.
  • Pets: not allowed except at approved promotional events; service animals are welcome.

Inside, the food and beverage page lists Pizza & Dogs on the first-base line and BBQ & More on the third-base line, and MLB.com described the renovation's 50-foot Hot Corner Bar and a 3,000-square-foot team store. The first aid room is on the first-base side of the main concourse. I did not find an official description of shaded seats; the renovation contractor, Barton Malow, says on its project page (updated June 25, 2026) that the work "replaced aging bleachers with a new covered third base grandstand."

As for weather, the 1991 to 2020 normals for the West Palm Beach airport station, the nearest station in the Florida Climate Center's data, average a high of 76.7 degrees F and a low of 60.1 in February, and 79.2 and 63.0 in March.

How do you get to Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium?

The stadium is at 4751 Main Street in Jupiter, inside the Abacoa community. Its directions: from I-95, take Exit 83 (Donald Ross Road), go about one mile to Central Boulevard and turn left, follow Central to the circle, then take Main Street to the stadium. From Florida's Turnpike, exit at Indiantown Road (Exit 116), take I-95 south and follow the same directions. The guide also notes a public bus stop just south of the stadium on University Boulevard.

Flying in, note the new airport name: Palm Beach International became President Donald J. Trump International Airport on July 9, 2026, and its IATA code changed from PBI to DJT on August 18, 2026, according to the airport. Discover The Palm Beaches' Jupiter page, updated February 23, 2026, before the change, put Jupiter "just 20 miles away" from it. For perspective, MLB.com's February 3, 2026 FAQ put the Marlins' spring home about 83 miles north of loanDepot park in Miami.

Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, by the facts

The ballpark opened in 1998 and was designed by HOK Sports Facility Group, and the Marlins' ballpark page says it "was specifically designed to house two Major League Baseball teams." The whole complex covers 110 acres. It carried the Roger Dean Stadium name from 1998 and became Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium under a 10-year agreement announced in February 2018, per MLB.com; the stadium says it is named in partnership with Roger Dean Chevrolet, "a family-owned West Palm Beach Chevrolet dealer since 1965."

Palm Beach County owns the stadium and Jupiter Stadium, Ltd. operates it. A March 14, 2023 county agenda item describes a new agreement that extends the Marlins' and Cardinals' use "to at least April 30, 2049" and a renovation then estimated at "approximately $134M," funded in part by $50 million in state money over 25 years and county bed-tax revenue capped at $75.1 million. I did not find a final cost. Seating figures vary: the stadium's guide says it "seats approximately 7,100 people," the Marlins' ballpark page says about 6,800, and I found no updated figure after the renovation replaced the third-base bleachers. The Cardinals note that 2027 is their 30th season there.

For a sense of crowds, the Florida Sports Foundation's Grapefruit League figures, published April 17, 2026, show 49,247 fans over 15 Marlins games at Roger Dean in 2026, an average of 3,283, and 68,388 at the Cardinals' games.

Spring training nearby in Port St. Lucie and West Palm Beach

Two more spring parks are within about 41 miles. The Florida Grapefruit League's Marlins page, updated September 16, 2026, puts Clover Park, the Mets' home in Port St. Lucie, 41 miles north, and CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, home of the Astros and Nationals, 12 miles south. By my count from MLB's schedule data, the Marlins are scheduled to play four games at Clover Park and six at CACTI Park in 2027. If you want the Mets side of the trip, see my guide to Mets spring training at Clover Park.

Is there baseball at Roger Dean after spring training?

Yes. Two Single-A Florida State League teams play there: the Jupiter Hammerheads, a Marlins affiliate, and the Palm Beach Cardinals. MLB's schedule data shows both opening the 2027 season on Friday, April 2 against each other at Roger Dean, with the Hammerheads' last home game on August 29 and both teams' last games on September 5. The stadium advertises "all 132 games held at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium," parking in the Abacoa garage is free for those games, and gates open an hour before game time.

What is it like to live near Roger Dean?

The stadium sits on about 110 acres inside Abacoa, which its property owners' assembly describes as "a 2,055-acre, master-planned, mixed-use community" in the Town of Jupiter. The assembly says construction began in 1997 on land once owned by John D. MacArthur, that the plan calls for 6,073 residences and just over 3 million square feet of commercial space when fully built, and that the master plan includes 20 residential neighborhoods. Florida Atlantic University's John D. MacArthur Campus, on 135 acres, opened there in fall 1999, per FAU. The assembly's business directory, as viewed October 25, 2026, lists restaurants such as JJ Muggs Stadium Grill, Civil Society Brewing Company, Das Beer Garden, Brick & Barrel Gastro Pub and Jumby Bay Island Grill; it gives no distances, and I did not confirm each is open.

The Town of Jupiter had 61,047 residents in the 2020 Census and an estimated 62,350 on July 1, 2025, on 21.63 square miles of land, per the Census Bureau. If you are buying, three tax points are worth asking about. The town's adopted 2025-26 millage was 2.3894, and the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's table of proposed rates (revised July 29, 2026) showed a proposed 2026 town rate of 3.5886; that was a proposed rate, not the final adopted rate, and I did not find the final 2026 rate. Separately, the town's own fire department went into service on October 1, 2026, according to a WPTV report that day, and the town says the county's fire rescue charge will no longer be billed and could be replaced by a non-ad valorem assessment. The Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District also lists two active units named Abacoa I and Abacoa II; its page does not say which addresses they cover or how the district bills them, so ask whether the address you are considering is in a district unit and what it is charged.

For the bigger picture, my Jupiter real estate guide covers homes and prices, and Jupiter vs West Palm Beach vs Wellington compares the three. Between games, the Palm Beach County beaches guide has the beaches near Jupiter, and if you only want a winter base for spring training, my guide to buying a second home on the Treasure Coast covers homestead, property tax, rental and insurance questions, with county details for St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River.
